Prompt 13: Describe a favorite memory with your spouse from the past year.
This is a tough one- so many good memories are coming to me:
- Our family trip to St Louis
- Our getaway to Austin, Texas
- Family cabin time
- Making our silly Christmas video
- Lots of fun date nights by ourselves and with friends
I think I’ll talk about our little getaway to Austin just because I’ve recently described both our trips to St Louis and a nearby cabin in a family newsletter, so the Austin trip feels more fresh.
I grew up in Dallas and we took a trip down there this summer as per usual to stay with my fam, but this time Rich and I had a little two-day getaway down to Austin while my parents watched our kids (thanks parents!).
I live for planning vacations, so this trip was fun for me before we even got there. But we drove down and ended up going straight to a place called Hamilton pool, which was a nugget of a find. You have to reserve your spot like a week in advance because they only let about 60-90 people in at a time in order to preserve its naturey-ness. I think that was the reason.
It was so cool!

We had a great day hiking and swimming here. Then, we hit up lots of food trucks, stayed in an awesome airbnb and then biked the city the next day.

It was a short trip, but we crammed a lot in and had a ton of fun.
Ok your turn! What is a favorite memory with your spouse from the past year?
Remember, even thinking it in your mind can help fill your love tank. So even if you don’t comment- think about it! And if you are joining our monthly challenge, send the answer to your spouse in a text or email or note.
